I am using Champion D-21 and find that they tend to oil-foul. What plug is a heat range or two hotter?

I realize this doesn't solve the fundamental problem, but might make things a bit better in the short run.

By the way, I am not a great fan of Champion spark plugs...does anyone have a different recommendation?

If you don't like Champions...you might not like ACs either. I think AC stood for the makers initials ...Albert Champion as I recall. Fred OH

Generally with Champion plugs, the lower the number, the hotter the plug. Any good parts house will have a plug chart, and will be glad to assist. I would not go more than 2 steps at a time. Another thought, Open the plug gap to about .035 to .038. This makes the gap wider, thus a hotter spark across the gap. Good luck, have fun.

I've had the same experience with the Champion D-16's. I use Autolite 3116's now with good results.

Where do you set the gap in the Autolite 3116?

I use Autolite 3116 plugs in TO-30s. Have not owned a TO-20, but I think the 3116 will work fine, as they help with oil fouling problems in the 30s.

Try autolite.com. I believe 437's are the right ones but check and make sure.
