Looking At An MF 35

Hi folks,
It's been awhile since I posted here. I have a TO30 that blew the engine about 2 years ago... the machinist counted over twenty cracks and I can't justify in my mind to fork out the 2000 to get a rebuilt motor.. (It's a Z129)
I've been looking at a 1961 35. He's asking 3000. or best offer and comes with a box blade. It needs paint and eventually tires. With the engine off, the hydraulics will hold the implement up just fine; however, with the engine running, it stays up with the clutch out, but push it in and it comes down. It has a small leak at the power steering and an ever so slight leak at the PTO. It seems to run fine, no smoke, starts right up and shifts good. He has a BIG tiller on the back that he wants 400.00 extra for. He ran a strip with the tiller and I was very impressed. He said it runs the tiller fine, but it works the tractor pretty hard. He's had it about 4 years and says he hasn't had any problems with it; just bought a Deere and hasn't used the Fergy in about 1 1/2 years. So, what do you think?
Thank everyone in advance.

Chuck (CA)

P.S.
I'm also posting this in the Massey Board.
