Stuck Spacer Bolts

I have been trying for over a week now to take off the spacer bolts from my TO 35. I am going to put on a bumber. I have raised the front of the tractor as was suggested, applied PB Blaster numerous times, and have applied heat from a propane burner. My Question is do I apply the heat to the bolt or the area around the bolt? Also is the propane going to get it hot enough? Should I try a burner with "Mapp" gas that I see advetised?

Heat the NUT, not the bolt. Expanding the bolt only makes the nut tighter.

The propane will probably not be enough heat. An oxy acetelyne is ideal since you can always cut if you have to. Mapp gas probably next best. Good luck, have fun, get a really big breaker bar and a 6 point socket.
