I just purchased a Ferguson tractor but I do not know the year and model. The serial number plate on the dash is gone. The engine is a continental and the plate says cylinder block #1024942m91 serial #1013. It has 2 stage clutch(hi-neutral-low) 3 speed w/reverse.It has engine PTO, ground PTO, neutral. 2 piece hood(small door on top of hood) Rear wheels can be widened without turning them around. Any help would be appreciated. Stan

Sounds like either a TO-35, MF-35, or F-40. There were many more 35s than 40s, so it's more likely a 35. Two suggestions: Go to the tractor photos in the link at the column on the left and see if you can find a tractor that looks like yours. The 35s and the 40s both used the same Continental engines but their sheet metal is very different, so you should be able to tell from that. The 40 is a taller tractor. Also, check the number on the block of the engine that starts with a "Z". It should start "Z134..." and if so that confirms a 35 or 40.
