I just looked at a tractor that is suppose to be a TO35. However, it has a 5 speed transmission and the serial number is 99809. What am I really looking at? Thank, Rich.

Rich; Take a closer look at that 5 on the shifter pattern . Could it rather be a `S` (stands for START)? If so, then it is not a 35 but more likely an earlier TE or TO series. Hope this helps. Dave.

35 should be 6 speed foward, 20 & 30 are 4 speed foward, 35 and newer could be 12 speed with multipower, Ferguson never made a 5 speed foward tractor
