ok i finely got my to30 running today i found a starter nose cone and drive gear got it all together and running tractor runs great no bug killing smoke but always a but the starter went out so now after paying $150 for the cone and gear i get to pay another $250 for a starter.

are you sure the starter is gone ,did you bypass the starter switch and hook a battery source right to the starter stud ,if you did and its still bad then you can get the starter rebuilt for around $90.00 or do as i did last year i got one from Pittsburg tractor in Texas,ask for a lady named Jan she helped me ,you just mail back your old core $250.00 but you get back $150.00 wnen you send them the old core,anyway make sure you check the battery cables especially the ground before you start spending a lot of money

yeah its the starter for sure. i hooked it to a battery and it did the same thing. i just found one. i should have it monday.
