I was restoring the engine in my Massey Ferguson 203. It is a Perkins A3.152. Now i am trying to get it running. When i start it turns over and runs with the starter motor but when i release the switch it dies. I put the timing gear together with the timing marks in order. What could be the problem.

Yep, Bleed the fuel train again, from tank through the injectors completely and then bleed it a bit more. Getting all the air out of the injection pump is where I had my little frustration. As I recall, I had to go through the bleeding procedure about three times before I had good fuel flow.

I know this may sound simplistic, but you should bleed the fuel injection system just like the manual states, from the lift pump down stream to the injectors. If you have already tried that I'll just shut up.
