New Ferguson Implement

It looks to be a two row cultivator for keeping weeds down between crop rows as opposed to a tiller for primary tillage to loosen soil. It has a shoe (not a disk) in front that seems to be intended to keep the implement on track behind the tractor by slicing through the soil. There seem to be several depth adjustment holes on the shoe and it�s mounting bracket. The nine teeth are made of spring steel (two layers) and seem to have several possible adjustments in a circular direction around their vertical axis and no real adjustment for the way the shovel or sweep would contact the soil. The implement came with what I would call a �shovel� as opposed to the sweeps I would expect to see on a cultivator.

From a Ferguson Archive search it looks like the prefix letter �S� has some meaning, though I don't know what. I�m new at this whole thing and would like to know just what the implement is and what it was it�s intended use. I�d also like to know if there is a source for something like an operator�s manual or owner�s guide for this implement.

(I apologize if my questions are redundant to those before but I didn�t find my answers in the archives. Perhaps I didn�t put in the correct search words.)

Great information! Except for this board, where would one look to get this type of detail on the implements? Are there any reference books that discuss this type of stuff?
