I just purchased a Ferguson tractor fron a friend. I'd like to know how to tell the year of the unit so i can get manuals and parts.
The numbers of the tractor are, Z120 28941
Radator # BK6711
Motor in cast # Z120A880 WF-11-19
Trans# 95590 BA37692.

Any help would be greatly wellcome.

Welcome Rick.

No one else has claimed to be near Cincinnati here that I know of. I am not sure how Phil(va) decided it was a TO.. probally be cause of the engine serial number given... However, I do not question his call. There should be a I.D. plate at the base of the streaing wheel where the tractor serial number is located. I presume this is missing as I am sure you would have seen that number first.

Would love to take a look at it if your okay with that.

Jeff.

Rick I believe all numbers you mentioned are part or part model numbers, especially those starting with "TO". Should be a tag near your spark plugs on the block and another under or above your steering wheel. Take this number to the left of the forum under "Research & Info" click on "serial Numbers" and go from there. Should get the year of Mfg. As for manuals, you can get three separate ones: Dealer shop manual for TE & TO-20 and the TO-30. Op & Mtn for TO-20 and Parts manual for TO-20 & 30, TE-20 & TE-A20.

You have a TO-20. To find year, look for a plate rivited to the dash with a serial number on it. Take that number to column at left on this page and find "serial numbers" link. Then you will easily find the year.
