Well I've hinted at it a few times on this board, but in early November I finally brought home this TO-35. I bought it from a good friend who was recently transferred out of state. I'd used it on several occasions and really grew a liking toward the old girl. It's in pretty good shape and is what I'm using to keep the driveway cleared this winter (wish we had more snow for me to play in!) I'm not sure who restored it, but they did a decent job. The undercarriage should be dark green, but was painted black (evidence of the old green is there). Not sure if the red Ferguson 35 decals are correct? The holidays kept me way too busy and I am just now getting some time to work on it! Here are the main things I have some questions on: Tractormeter is broken...I see they have a new one listed on this site for about $50. Is that a good deal? I need the drive cable too. Hydraulics...John(UK) went through with me how to use the draft control. But I can't seem to get draft control to work. Position control works pretty well. Raises and lowers my 6' back blade very quickly. But with the position lever down in fast/slow, raising the draft lever up the whole way produces no movement of the 3-point. Also, after the tractor is shut off, the 3 point does not stay raised for very long (maybe 10 minutes before the 6' blade touches the floor from the fully raised postion). Any ideas what could be wrong? I know that most of the time my buddy owned it the draft lever was in the almost fully raised position. After reading on this site I found out that forces the pump to continue pumping. Worn pump? Bad check valve? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Finally, a manual. I need one soon! I have seen them on this site, on eBay, even in TSC. What would be the best manual to get at a reasonable price? Thanks for all your help, and I look forward to spending more time on this site!
