I'M LOOKING AT BUYING A LARGER TRACTOR FROM A NEIGHBOR. THE PROBLEM IS THAT HE CANNOT GET THE TRACTOR TO SHIFT INTO GEARS.THE TRACTOR WILL GO INTO LOW/HIGH WITH THE SHIFTER BUT HE CANNOT GET THE TRACTOR TO SHIFT INTO ALL THE GEARS IN BOTH LOW AND HIGH. HE SHOWED ME THE TRACTOR AND DID HAVE IT GO INTO REVERSE BUT KNOW THE TRACTOR JUST SEEMS TO BOG DOWN WHEN PUT INTO GEARS AND WILL NOT GO INTO REVERSE OR VERY FEW GEARS. i'M INTERESTED IN THE TRACTOR BUT DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE.THE TRACTOR WILL GO INTO LOW GEAR AND FIRST GEAR BUT NOT MUCH MORE. COULD THE TRACTOR BE LOW ON FLUIDS OR WHAT????? ?
ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

First be advised typing in caps is equal to shouting on the net. You'll likely find answers to you inquires on the Massey Ferguson board, this is for Harry Ferguson tractors.

Thanks for the response and the high falootin stuffon the e-mail i sent. I'm just a good ole farm boy with liitle to no skooling. I appreciate the comment but still need info to help me with this tractor.
