TO-20 for Sale...need advice

There is a Ferguson TO-20 (or possibly TE-20) tractor for sale. The man painted it, installed a new starter, relay, condensor. It starts right up and seems to run fine. It comes with a blade attachment. The tires are very weather cracked on tread, but not on the sidewalls. Asking price: $3600. I might be willing to go as high as $2800...maybe. How am I? High? Low? Any advice?

I have a really nice TO-20, and I've been thinking of selling it, so I can get a bigger tractor. My tires are all very good, and the tractor is in awesome mechanical shape (I use it to bush-hog 27 hilly acres)....and I was thinking I probably couldn't get more than $2K for it.

Then again, I guess it depends where you live too- but that price seems very high.

I'd look around some more- for that kind of money (or actually, less) you should be able to get a tractor that is pretty much perfect- with good tires.

Prices on old tractors actually seem to be a little soft right now...I'd look around some more.
