When they say that a TO-35 has live pto, what is that exactly? Is the hydraulics live also? Thanks, Jim

The TO-35 has a two stage clutch. Pushing it in halfway allows the tractor to stop but still allows the PTO and hydraulics to continue to operate. When pressed fully, the PTO and hydraulics stop as well. Many older tractors do not have live pto/hydraulics, so when you press in the clutch to shift/stop, the pto and hydraulics stop too.
