Can anyone tell me at what serial number the 35's changed to lpto? I know it was the later deluxe models, but what in the serial number distinguishes that.

Thanks folks.

Charlie

Hi Charlie
The 35 came with position control and live pto the first year for this was in 1955 and if you look at the serial number there will be a M this means it has live power.

OOOPs! just checked again now..they were intoduced in 1958 according to my list I have, at serial # 178216. Over here in UK we had them right from when they were introduced in 1956 and there was a letter "M" in the serial number to denote it was a live PTO model.

Thanks John,

Been tossing around buying a ferguson 35 or MF 35.

After reading the post on no position control, I was set aback. I like my MF 245s position control. Nice to set the level of the lift where you want it. From the posts I understand you have up or down. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Charlie

Hi Charlie, its the same hydraulic system as your other tractor, it has draft and position control. Its a good tractor.

It was an option right from when they were intoduced, more de-luxe sold than standard though by a long way. Never seen any serial numbers for these at all that give a breakdown.
