yes I know the price was very high, and I don't plan to buy it...certainly not at that price. It has the gas engine, not either of the diesels.

I do like this model however and will keep looking.

Thanks for the information

I have a real nice 35MF with 3cyl Perkins, good tires, hyd lift reworked And front transmission seal, by MF dealer at the cost of $1500.00. Engine has lots of blow by, but runs good. Will take $3,500.00 as is, where its at. I would not trade even, for a 165MF with a brand new motor.

I agree with you on your choice of tractor models. In my biased opinion a Massey Ferguson 35 is about as good as a tractor gets. They are the right size for us small timers, easy to operate, plenty of power, easy on and off, and even the gas models don't use much more gas than a riding lawn mower. I think I'll run out and hug mine right now.:)

Tractor prices are getting out of hand for <40hp tractors, yuppie farmers I guess. I'm going upstate to look at a MF 165 gas tractor, and the asking price is $3,800 with new rears.
