I had a good battery in my 1949 TO-20 and was driving it when it just stopped as though turned off. The battery was instantly dead and could not be recharged. I restarted with a tow only to have it run about two minutes and stop again. Does this sound like a voltage regulator problem? If so where can I get a replacement?

sounds more like a battery short was the battery hot or boiling over. If you check you should have about 12.6 volts at battery and 13 to 14 when charging. Batteries can suddenly short particularly when using a car battery in a farm machine that is vibrating and moving in rough ground. If you can't recharge the battery that is a good indication of fault.
