Hi guys, I need help with the ID of my fergie. the serial # TEA ?19553, the missing number is roundish, engine # SC4152E. Stamped above the serial # , on the diff housing under 3pl anchor and gearbox/steering plate next to 'R' is 5085.
Axle casing RHS G29 LHS G27. On the RHS of Engine is D or B A12361 3000508 then bigger 12 6 1.
The water pump is on the head so that makes it an 85mm Bore and it has floating cam brakes, also it has on the Lucus starter 7/51. Any help will be great.

Hi Russ
Thought I would see what other great minds on this site had to say first on your tractor before I gave my thoughts.

The 80mm bore only went upto serial no. 172598 which makes yours no earler than 1951.
Ferguson had a system in the 50s, of giving casting no.s that would date the year, and I think yours should fall into this.
Have a look at this posting on page 3 !!!Identifying my Ferguson [+] - Henning Srensen 04:11:45 10/20/03 (10)!!!! it shows the date on a 1955 Ferguson ie; 4 10 5 which is 4th. day of sept,1955, have a look on yours, some of the codes you give convert to 1951 ie; the starter july 1951 and the engine 12 6 1 could relate to 12 day of june 51.
The engine s/n is a hard one as I can find other owners engine s/n like yours but do not tie up with the year. you would not be in Austrailia by any chance would you?
Anyway this should give you a bit more to go on,

Hi guys,
Thanks for the info. I am now sure that the missing number is a 2 and my Fergie is a '51 model. Restoration is coming along well and I am amazed that you can still get practically all parts for them through Bare-Co in Aus. Thanks again.

From the numbers on the starter and the castings they were made in 1951..The missing number I would think is "2" so it would read. TEA 219553

I will only guess at this as I have a TO 20. I went to the left of page under Research & Info. clicked on serial #s and you may have a 1952 TEA 20 85 . Take a look your self and see what you think.
