My TO-30 will run like a top for 30 to 60 minutes or so and then it begins bucking/jerking and stalls out. I'll let it sit for a bit and it will run fine again for a couple minutes before bucking and stalling. Any ideas what might be causing this? It has a 6v Genesee ignition. Thanks

Since your initial post, the info. given leads me to agree 100% with john(UK). Sure sounds like ignition. If it's fuel retriction,...ie "pull the choke" its an awfully small restriction, and I seriously doubt it. How long will it run after the re-start?

Sounds like ignition component breaking down when it gets hot, the engine stalls so it allows it to cool enough to start again. I am not familiar with the Genesee ignition systen you have so I cant help further but I am sure one of our friends on here will call you with some help shortly.

Are you running the hydrolics when this happens? I have bucking problems when the lift reaches the top if it does not have enough input to pick up the bush hog.

my to-30 does the same thing after about a hour's
work.what i do is pull the choke out and rev the engine a little and that clears it right up.
then it runs fine for the rest of the day.

Jeff, it happens with or without the brush hog in operation. The three point hitch is in a level position for the brush hog to cut. Thanks
