The one part my to 35 does not have is a tractormeter. It originally had one so the hole is there, I just haven't invested in one. Is it neccesary and what is it hooked up to? Thanks

It depends on what engine you have in there. On the Standard Motors engine it is driven from the distributor drive on a Continental its driven off the back of the generator. Not all 35 's had a tacho, it was standard on tractors fitted with dual clutch because it was more likely they would be used for PTO work

It's not necessary but it is nice to have. The F40 I was raised on connected to the back of the generator. The FE35 I have now had no provision for one other than the hole with a dummy cover over it. As I commented in an earlier post I got an electric 0-4000 tach. from J.C. Whitney and it fits perfectly. Ain't too hard to hook up either. It's not origional but it serves the purpose. About 65 bucks.
