TO 30 hand clutch

Have a TO 30 that has a lever coming out of pto lever cover on left side, and extends up by seat on left side. This appears to be an aftermarket live power set-up (when you push on lever, forward and down, the ground drive stops). The problem is that the pto lever will not move, thus the pto will not engage. I am looking for info on this like, who made it, adjustment specs, etc.???I have not tore into it yet. I would like to leave it on tractor but may have to take it off. Anyone that could give me info, or where to find, or how to find info on this would be greatly appreceated.

I have a TEA-20, much like the TO-30, I don't see how it could could have live power, after market or not. My guess is that it is merely a longer pto switch. Why the drive disengages I don't know but I wouldn't continue using it incase it is doing more harm then good. I would recommend that you pull it off and see what is on the other end of the lever and what it is engaging into. Then pull out a service manual and see exactly how those internal parts are suppost to move and if the lever it doing something that the tractor should do. The tractor comes first.

my father is working on a to 30 with this set up in it. it was working good but now the clutch pack is slipping and the tractor will not pull a load. any help on where to find parts or more info would be greatly appreciated. thanks Ray

I appreciate your thought on the hand clutch, but it is a clutch. Their were clutches made as aftermarket add-ons so as to give tractors without live power this feature. It was very popular for the old Allis ROTO-BALER for one. I am hoping to find someone that has seen &/or used one on this model tractor. I think M&W was the name of one manufacturs of these (popular on Farmall H and M). I am looking for anyone who might know where I could find info on this. Thank you for your reply.
