I have all bolts out our loose to remove the instrument panel of my to35 for painting. My question is how to unhook the throttle. I first unhooked the small cotter pin that is on the distributor side of shaft under the dash. But nothing happened. Is there an easy way to do it so that it goes back on easy without causing problems down the road? Thanks Terry

Terry...I always remove the 2 bolts holding the friction disk assembly and then lower it enough to remove the upper linkage arm ,it may have slight spring tension on the lever .. then remove dash and flip over and remove lever assembly..reinstall in reverse order..I've found this way to be easiest and no need to re-adjust the assembly...if there's not enough spring tension on it you will have to adjust it in order for it to stay where you put the throttle lever...
hope this helps

Thanks TO-35MAN, Next question I have all instuments unhooked except the temp guage. Can the cable be unhooked behind the temp gauge? It doesn't appear to have any nuts to loosen up, looks like it was crimped on at factory. Do I have to unhook at the engine & remove the full length of cable?

Terry: If the temperature guage is a cappilary tube guage, the capillary tube cannot be removed from the guage. You have to remove the guage from the dash or remove the bulb (sensor) at the other end of the tube from where it goes in the coolant. It is all one unit. Hope this helps.
