were the TE tractors that were exported from england built with metric size nuts and bolts etc.?
just curious

Metric wasn't invented when these tractors were built. (as far as the US and the British Empire were concerned.) All bolts and nuts are english measurements.

i guess what i am asking is do american sized wrenches (9/16/,1/2 etc.) fit the english size nuts/bolts????

Yes, except the Lucas electrical nuts, and I think some parts of the Zenith 24T2 carburettor, which are Whitworth.
Have fun finding some of those wrenches! Actually after searching quite a bit on the net I found some from a British motorbike shop, then waited for a few months but finally got them. Regards,

The Lucas stuff is all BA sizes - common for electrical equipment over here - you can still buy spanner and socket sets in BA sizes, but you need to know to ask for BA.

Yes they are all american sized wrenches for nuts and bolts All either AF or UNC
