Does any kind helpful person out there have an emailable wiring diagram for a TEF with Standard diesel?

Its coming up to haying, and some neighbours want me to sort their TEF out in advance - I fixed the starter last year, and it no longer needs ether to get it started, but this year its not charging. Dynamo is chucking out 12+ volts at tickover, and the control box clicks when you connect the battery, but no charge - at all.

I suspect fried wiring judging by the state of the loom, but need a wiring diagram to assist the cure if I rewire it completely.

Also
Can anyone provide an engineer with an idiot's guide to checking the control box function? I reset the dynamo side contacts to about 25 thou, and it seems to do something, but analogue electrical stuff was never my thing - its too close to black magic for my liking.

Thanks in advance - my email address is james dot ashby at dana dot com - sorry to spell it out, but I hate spam.

check the wires on the control box, it might be the problem, it was on mine, it drained the battery, and i got a spark when i took of/put on the battery cables...AND it didnt charge at all.
these Lucas things are strange sometimes... my wiring diagram was turned up side down on the control box (Mr Lucas, The Prince of Darkness;-))

No worries John,

Am on the trail of a definitive answer on this, and may have cracked it - am considering turning the info into an article we can all use - but analogue electrics and electro-mechanical switching is a personal bete noir and I want to make sure I get this right . . . . .
