Can anyone tell me what a good average oil pressure would be for a TO 30

I've been concrned with this same question ever since I got a TO-30 many years ago. It seems that anything from 15 to 30 psi is just fine. Some engines are a little looser than others so their pressure will be on the low side. Many times after an overhaul the pressure will be as high as 35 psi. These little Continental engines are ruggid as can be and they will perform for many years as long as there is a trickle of oil on all the bearing surfaces. The type and viscosity of oil plays a big part in oil pressure also. Hot or cold engine effects the pressure, too. I wouldn't get too worked up over any pressure over 15 psi.
