Power steering for F-40, MH-50, MF-50, 65

Does anyone know where I might find a power steering unit for a Ferguson 40, Massey Harris 50 or Massey-Ferguson 50? I think the same unit was used on the MF-65. Any sources out there? I have been unsuccessful so far in searching salvage yards and MF dealerships.

MF licensed a couple of companies in Turkey to build tractors and some implements. I have seen some of them and they appear to be of good quality.

I have spent some time in Turkey. It is quite an advanced country with a great deal of technological skill. My guess is that the parts in question are still built to MF specs so there shouuld be minimal risk to you.

Thanks, Paul. Are you aware of any sources in the U.S. for the Turkish built parts? I'll ask at my MF dealership the next time I'm there but when I asked about the power steering units previously, they did not think anything was available. I'll follow up on Rick's suggestion, too(Thanks Rick) and see if that's an option. If these things are available overseas, it seems like someone somewhere in the states would have thought there would be some buyers for them and would have stocked a few.

Rick,is that an email address for Dunlop? Should it be [email protected]?

Joe, Here is a link to the manufacturers website. A while back someone posted a link to a North American importer of these systems. If you are looking for an original PS system for your F 40 these are not for you. Your system has the control valve at the front of the tractor. These use a single cylinder on the left side.

Joe I am presently chasing a power steering for my MF 35X through Dunlop Hydraulics in Northern Ireland. They have a unit for about $US 600 plus freight made in Turkey I think. Just a pump, ram , hoses and replacement steering Items. Contact Bertie at dunlophydraulics.co.uk. Rick Chisholm Canberra Australia.
