Anyone know where I can find the upper left hand lift rod... I thinks it's called the rod and fork... for a TO20? Are the Ford 9N/8N rods interchangeable with the Ferguson? My rod busted, and it looks to be cast, so I don't think a weld will work well. This rod had been bowed since before I owned the tractor, and after the break, I found evidence where it had been cracked half way through for many years.

dennis i just had mine welded thats twice now it the last 15 years they are cast and you use a nickle rod , i think it was, mine has always been bowed a bit , i just figured that was normal.

Mine are bent also. The one on my salvage tractor is also bent. Maybe they are designed with a little bend?

yup i think they are, mine was when i got it ia was a school board tractor never worked too much, first time i broke it an old fellow welded it up for me said they were supposed to have a bend in them, just broke it again this past winter , backed up fast into a steel pipe full of concert, snaped it got another guy to weld it used a nickle rod , ground it down some never know it was ever welded twice , still strong too as i been workin the fields with it this spring an no problems.

Lift arms are available at most all tractor supply stores or dealerships. Make sure you get catagory 1. If you are doing a restore project for show you may want to seek out one in a tractor bone yard, so that it will be Ferguson original. Otherwise one from the dealership or store would work.

Are you asking about the 3 point hitch? Some of the rods are forged and can be welded.

Yes, the three point hitch. Left hand side solid rod upper lifting arm... as opposed to it's counter-part "leveling box" arm over on the right side. It looks to be cast, and my welder confirmed this, however, I'm no expert.

You should be able to get them at any tractor salvage yard.
