Anyone ever changed rear axle seals on a 1950 TO-20????? ? got a question about the axle collar.

My 1951 TO-20 leaked on both sides. I installed Shure-
seals without any trouble. Much simpler than pressing the bearings on and off to get to the original.

The sure seals are cheap and they seem to work good. You just about have to split the collar to get it off and replace the original seals.

Your Massey-Ferguson dealer has them. Mine were installed at $15.00 each, included parts and labor.

I have just had new rear axle seals put on my TO20 but have a question about what to use for the gasket between the end of the axle housing and the brake backing plate. The dealer I bought the shims from said to use them for the gasket but they are so thin I am not sure this is correct. I am also hoping to find metal shims which is what was on there when I took the axles out. I have only been able to find paper style.
Any help would be appreciated
