Researching First Owner

I thought it would be a nice touch to discover more about this lady, and it turns out that she was born Irene Lilian, or Lilian Irene Creese, and was an actress - she used the stage name of Ren� Ray in the late 1920's and onwards to post-war.

I have been able to find a list of films she starred in, but am wondering if any of you over in the US (where many of her films were made) can tell me anything more about her, or post any useful links.

Sadly, she died in Jersey in 1993, her husband died in the mid 1970's and I don't think there were any children - so that line of enquiry is blank.

Perhaps you should put some sort of "Royal-like" insignia on your tractor.

Initially I thought the first owner thing was a bit of a joke, but it is a bit different. I will need to be a bit less cavalier in my approach to maintaining the tractor, I think, and perhaps change back from my nice 80 Amp alternator and 12V system to the original dynamo and 6V system.

Strange to think that this lady may have driven 'my' tractor . . . .

I used to live in an oast house on a farm near Edenbridge. I worked near Leigh (Tonbridge area). I often went to the farm and ploughing shows in the area and saw plenty of nice Fergusons. I learned there was more skill to farm operations than is apparent.

I don't know Ashford very well except I used to catch the train there for Brussels.

Good thing I can get Fullers London Pride here, otherwise I'd have to move back to the UK!

I used to do the odd dog obedience show there - always good for a laugh - especially the border collies retrieving raw eggs!!

London Pride is good, but I think that Shepherd Neame's 'Spitfire' (I seem to remember their ad banner was - "Downed all over Kent, just like the real thing") is better, given the choice.

Good to know some of our heathen ways (warm, flat beer)are infiltrating the US!!
