I was bush hogging the other day when I hit a stump with my bush hog. At the time I didn't know it till I glanced over my sholder to see the bush hog standing at 90 degrees. Man, I hit the clutch and brake. The tractor rolled back and the hog went back down. If that thing had of came on over on top of me, well that would have been it. My point being I was using a chain for a top link so I would not get hung up in dips and stuff like that. Very dangerous to do. Never use a full length of chain like I was doing. I think there is made a special top link for that kind of work? Just sharing this little story of a almost an accident. Anybody else got any close ones to tell about?

Just slide a piece of pipe over your chain and you should be ok.
