TED 20 is it UK roadworthy?

For all you Brits out there - I have a TED20 plus V5 registration document and it all seems to be running well. What do I have to do to take it on the (UK) public roads? Do I need to get the equivalent of an MoT test? Could be a problem as it has no lights!

Don't need to do much. MoT isn't required but you do need to insure it minimum third party cover. I have two old tractors insured through NFU Mutual for �26 per year each third party fire and theft. (I'm not an NFU member.) You also need to get a tax disc which will be free as its a "historic vehicle". Take V5 to Post Office and ask them how to go about it. Can't remember what I had to do first time. After its in system you get a reminder each year to go get the free disk again. I guess law requires that it must be raodworthy. e.g. tyres with no cuts or bulges (but not necessarily any tread) brakes and steering that work, number plates (I have aluminium black and silver original type ones.) Probably should be fitted front and rear but I haven't quite completed the set yet. Neither lights nor indicators are required is not fitted originally but if they are fitted they must work. (You obviously can't go about after lighting up time if you don't have lights.) think that's about it. - so far as I know.

use search for dvla and look at form v62 which is avalible from the post office fill this in and take it to the post office with your insurance document and of you go happy tractoring
