TO-30 lift question

I have just gotten my lift to work on my 54' TO-30. I changed the oil hoping that would do it, but it didn't. I had to do some deeper investigation where I found a relief valve to be stuck. The valve is in operation now and the lift works fine. Here is my question. Before I had all of these lift troubles, I was using a 6-foot John Deere harrow with the tractor. I just wanted to know if this had maybe caused my valve to stick. I am making sure that that harrow is not to heavy for the tractor. It's not like some of the cheap ones made today. It is extremely well-built and pretty large and heavy. If this caused the problem, I wanted to make sure that it did not happen again by not using that harrow. However, if you think that the harrow had nothing to do with it and that the tractor should be able to handle it, then I would appreciate you letting me know. Thanks for your time and helpful information.

It has everything to do with chunks of crap floating around in the fluid. Seeing as how it is not really filtered, all we can hope for is that the crap sinks and stays away from important bits. we're not always lucky.

Yes, and the more often you cause the relief valve to operate by using oversized equipment the more likely the chance of the valve sticking, debris obstruction, wearing it out, etc.
