I found a service manual for a Ferguson TO-35, and was wandering if it would be compatible with my 1958 MF 35. Is there any mechanical difference between the two tractors?

Is it not possible that some late TO-35's had MF decals? If not what decals did they have?

Mark
It might be a big differance if your Massey Ferguson 35 has a Standard-Vanguard gasoline engine like my FE35. Do you know what motor you have? I gather that the rest of the drive train may be the same. Do you know if the TO35 manual covers your engine?

If you have the Standard engine I would like to talk to you and compare notes. I've been trying to find out the answere to some similar questions.

There is very little difference between these two models, all the mechanical bits are the same just the tinwork is different apart from a few odds and ends the answer will be No difference.

Mark, if your tractor is a '58, it is a TO-35. Someone may have put MF decals on it. Even if it were to be a MF, they are virtually identical mechanically. The MF had the option of a Perkins diesel while the TO had the Standard Diesel option. If you will post your tractor SN, the year can be ascertained quite easily.

Sorry to disappoint you here, but the european MF-35 came with the Standard 87mm bore Gas or Standard 23c diesel until 1959, when the perkins 3-152 replaced the Standard in the Diesel version. (later 35x with A3-152)
The M-F might be a late '58, as the FE-35 name change took place this year.
