Oil Pressure too high?

I have a TO35 (engine Z134 gas) that had the engine rebuilt recently. After two hours running, It blows oil out the rear seal, distributor mount and excessively out the oil breather hose. When I loosen the oil cap, all the leaks stop. The oil breather hose is not clogged. What could it be? Will it hurt to run the tractor with the oil cap loose. It is not burning any oil either.

Help Please!!

Donnie.

Seems like you are producing sump pressure.
Possiblity that on break in you may have broken some rings (compression). When the engine was rebuilt were the right rings for the bores installed. I am not firmiliar with that Continental engine, whether it has liners or not. Maybe there were undersized rings installed when the bores were worked on. The bad news is that if this is the case you will have to pull the engine down and start over again. My 2 cts worth

Happy fixin.

Al.

If it was new rings into old bores that have a wear ridge at the top and this wasn't removed its possible that this could break new rings. Some replacement rings have a chamfer on the top edge to stop them hitting the ridge. Does sound like a blocked breather though.
