Torque values 2085

what are the torque specs for the main bearing caps and rod caps ? I think they are 65 for the mains and 55 for the caps (foot lbs ) I dont trust my self in rembering these this is not the time to screw up thanks .

Thanks John for the tourque specs thats why I dont trust my memery on shuch things should have wort them down the last time I did this . Jim W Thanks again I checked the end play with the specs you gave me with the old thrust washers and was still with in specs , So I got standard size replacement washers .There was 3 sizes higher avalabel these old motors shure are tough there is not alot of wear on the crank most of the wear was on the washer

Glen,
Have you been able to check that your end float on the crank is OK? If it's too much, you can get slightly oversized thrust washers.
If you're still within spec. but one half of the set is slightly thicker, put it toward the front of the engine, as the crankshaft gets shoved forward when you step on the clutch.

Whoops, that should be put the thicker part toward the REAR of the engine.

90lbs ft on the main bearings
50lbs ft on the con-rod
