The 12-AO-40 was ordered without 12A general purpose bottoms so the dealer could install another style for a specific soil type, a 12-AO-28 came from the factory with 12A general purpose bottoms, but the dealer could have switched bottoms after they arrived to make a sale for someone with a specific need such as plowing sod, both models were made during the late Ford/Ferguson 9N tractor era from 1944-1947, some parts are available at an old Ford or Massey Ferguson dealer near you or I can send them to you.

Hey Paul, can you email a pic? I have a couple of Fergie moldboard plows, one 12in. and one 14in., but I can't remember the numbers and they are not close by. Do you have specific questions. Most of the time people want to know where they can find parts. There should be some archive info on that. If you need a moldboard or a share, it is the number on the back of the piece, not the plow model, that will tell the seller if he has a match or not. The Dearborn plows are often similar, and you can find some info from the N-Newsletter on them. HTH.
