I received my Zane Thang today. Bolted on in 10 minutes and voila perfect position control. I tested it out with my mower suspended just 1" off the ground and it works perfectly. Best money I ever spent on the fergie.

I bought a Zane Thang a year or two ago and it works great. Took me about 25 minutes to install, but I'm probably just slow. Recently, I had another TO-30 that needed position control, so I bought one from Steven Gaunt in Australia, called Fergie Positioner. It also works great. It does take longer to install, as some fine tuning adjustment is necessary and I had to take it off and adjust it a little and reinstall and test with an implement and then adjust again, etc., a total of about 2.5 hours. However, one big advantage to Steven's version is it is less instrusive. A non Fergie person probably won't even notice it is on the tractor. And it doesn't catch your sleeve or arm as Zane's can. Prices are similar. Bottom line: both work great. One is easier to install. The other blends better with the tractor. Zane, as most of you know, also sells other stuff, and he is extremely knowledgeable about these lifts and the Ford lifts and I much appreciate his expertise. I know he helped me with a Ford 600 once. But if you have a restored Fergie you want to show and you want position control, the Fergie Positioner might be a good alternative. Just FYI.

You will find that the Zane Thang is also very handy for holding the lift arms in any position needed when attaching an implement. It is worth it for this alone.
