I just purchased a TO-35 (first tractor)! The nuetral switch is not wired in, but does work. Where can I find a connector that matches the round posts?

Is there anyway to figure out what the serial number might have been from the engine number? It has engine number Z134655573 and I think its a 1954.

For the NSS wiring, you will find crimp on wire ends that will fit at any automotive parts store, if you're lucky enough to still have the spring clips that retain them... I'd tell you what size they were as I spent a while looking for them when I hooked up the NSS during the engine rebuild/rewire project, but, it's 2100 miles from here, all I remember is that there were 2 different sizes...

Welcome to the board and to tractoring!
I believe the original setup had mating pins crimped to each wire end- it was not a single connector. A right angled rubber boot protected the connections. The boot is still available through MF dealers. I soldered the wires directly to the switch, applied dielectric grease and a new boot. So far so good.

If you will log onto the site below, then send an e-mail message to Jerry Moons, he can tell you the exact date your engine was built and shipped. Assuming it is the original engine, you can approximate the date of the tractor's manufacture since Continental shipped engines in somewhat of a "just in time" fashion.
