What is the difference between these two tractors? Are parts interchangable/ I have looked through the archives and have not found a concise comparison. Thanks, Roger

Production of the Ferguson TO-35 began in December of 1954. Over the next six years the TO-35 went through a series of paint color and name emblem changes, improvements to the hydraulic system, and the addition of a Standard Diesel model in December of 1958.

During this period the merger between Massey-Ferguson and Harry Ferguson, Inc. was being implemented. The two lines of tractors were merged and in December of 1960 the TO-35 name was replaced by the MF 35, along with the change in the Standard Diesel to a Perkins Diesel. The tractors are essentially the same tractor and most parts are interchangeable.

The April 2002 (#5) issue of the Ferguson Furrows newsletter included a comprehensive article on the transition from the TO-35 to the MF 35. It is available to members of Ferguson Enthusiasts of North America (FENA). To subscribe, see the 1/8/03 posting called "Ferguson Furrows Newsletter."
