I think the previous owner may have used an impact wrench.
I'm talking about the bolts that hold the outer rim to the center rim or inner rim.

My problem was not the nuts it was tring to remove the bolt from the loop. I eneded up taking it to the shop. (I needed a new rim any way.)

Jerry - I used a similar approach as Ford Man but I think I over did it. When a couple of mine broke I used a blow torch to heat them and I had more success. Any way you look at it, they're a tough nut to crack.

Jerry,
I had to use a 3/4" drive breaker bar and a 4' long cheater pipe and then bounce on it to get them to break loose !

Once I got them loose , they came off just fine .

Good luck !
