I was just curious as to what people pull with their Ferguson TO-30's. How big of a harrow or how big of a bush hog can it handle. I have a 5ft Bushhog and a 6ft harrow that I normally pull with a Ford 3000 dsl and am wondering if it can handle these. Thanks!

Hi Matthew
I borrowed a 5 Ft bushhog this summer for a week and my TEA-20 handled it like a dream. I dont think the TO-30 would have much trouble either. Just my thoughts, Good Luck

TO-30 will pull 5ft.bushhog,12ft spiketooth harrow,2 14in. plows, mabe 3, 12ft.single disk,2 row planter, lister and cultivater, run a buzz saw or feed grinder. Pull the 706 out of the mud,no,wait used the neighbors 4230 JD. Anyway the TO-30 will do alot of work. Use an ORC on the bushhog. TO-30 not as big as Ford 3000 and doesnt hae live pto or hydraulics. Good tractor tho.

Have fun and be careful.

There's a huge difference between what a tractor will do and what it will do safely or without overtaxing the tractor. TO30 tractors have 28 PTO horsepower, and weigh 2,850#, not enough to safely power equipment with higher horsepower requirements. I suggest you find the HP requirements of the equipment you plan to use before buying. I might be overcautious, but Dad bought my tractor new in 1953, sold it to me in 1989, I repainted it and am using it still. I plan to pass it to my grandson when I can't farm any longer so I want it sound and working. You've read posts of Ferguson engine blocks cracking, I suspect it's from prolonged overtaxing the engine or allowing the coolant to run low, for my engine has never been apart. That's my story, do what you will with it.
