Hi does anyone make a filter conversion to allow for a spin-on filter to replace the cartridge filter on a TO30?

Shawn: I just did that on a 35 with the Continental Z134 engine. If you have the Cont. Z129, does your filter stick out at an upward angle on the right side of the block and take a Fram C3 or equivalent filter like a Z134? Does it use a round topped housing with a bolt in the middle at the top to hold it on? If so this set up might fit yours. Let me know if it matches and I'll send part numbers.

I added this one to my old TO-20 but it did take some machining on the oil pump and putting two holes in the block for the supply and return lines.

I thought about a spin-on filter adapter for my TO-30 when I overhauled the engine last year. I even went out and purchased a couple filters and went to a junk yard and gathered three spin-on filter mounting castings. I dropped my little project when other priorities popped up. But I really do not think it would be too difficult. My only stumbling block was that I don't have access to the machining tools required to either modify an existing filter mounting or to fabricate a new one. I know it could be done.
