Has anyone made a cab for their TEA/TE/TO? Any tips? Better yet, any plans?
I was thinking about something like electrical conduit, plexiglass, and tarp.
Is this far more work than it seems like on the surface?
Thanks,
Jim W
PS any pictures would be appreciated.

Hi jim. Its jack here in bracebridge. I built a cab on my big international I started first with a roll bar and a roof welded out of 2" square tubing. Then the next year i added a lexan permanent front window and a removable back window. THen i put shower curtain rods onthe sides[at the top]. THe first year i hung plastic down. But just this week i went to fabricland and bought vinyl and more plastic window material and sewed really good looking sides with a window built in. WE got about a foot of snow on thursday and friday. JIm i dont have a picture, but give me a e-mail and i will give you my phone #

Jack.

i have the oem heat houser that came with my to-20 door on the left its all made out of canvas and a plastic wind sheld . i think a massey dealer can still get them a lot of other tractors have them also. we got one from fleet farm years ago for our massey 44. so try tractor supply they might have something. ask for a heat houser.

Here in DK, a cab must be tested and approved in order to be allowed.
I did some research a couple of years ago, but gov't safety officials warned and said it might be quite a job to make one's own, as procedures called for a triple destructive test to be performed, in addition to the theoretical strength calculations. And why bother making four, just to have one, and even risk the tractor, as the hut had to be in place during the test....
There are aftermarket huts to be bought, but they don't come cheap.

i was just looking for something to keep the weather off while i was on the tractor never thought it would ever meet the safety regs,an a guy would have to keep that in mind when operating the tractor, i would think anyway .
