Temp gauge?

Looking at various temperature gauges I see that they all read up to high temperatures like modern vehicles experience, putting my operating temperature of 140-160F way on the low end of the scale.
I would like to find one where 140-160 is in the middle of the scale, ideally with a 270 degree sweep. I would prefer electrical vs. ether but either will work if the price is right. Anyone know a source for one?

There are lots of gauges available from the high performance automotive catalogues such as Summit Racing or Jeg's. They will deliver to your door(I'm assuming your in the U.S. or Canada). Or, you could check at auto parts stores in the Stewart Warner books. Just check these books and you'll find lot's of gauges.

I had the same need last year when I restored my '53 TO30, only I wanted all my gages to match, which became somewhat difficult. I ended up using a company called Greengages, which lets you design your own gages. I think their website is www.greengages.com This is one alternative for you.

My TO-20 did not come with a temp gauge. Most of the aftermarket ones I looked at would not fit in the opening machined in the casting above the water pump.

I finally bought one for a TE-20 (part made in England) that fit correctly. I think it has the correct temperature range. However, it only gets in the upper part of the mid range if I am working the tractor awfully hard.
