JUST GOT A TO20. I LOOKED FOR THE THEROSTAT WHERE IT IS ON A 9N (IN HOSE TO HEAD) AND FIND NONE.
PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE UNIT IS LOCATED.

I understand your frustration, but there's no need to SHOUT. ;-)

At the front of the engine (motor) where the top hose comes out and heads for the radiator, there is an aluminium casting (kind of half tennis ball shaped). That is the thermostat housing. It's held in place by two nuts/bolts. Undo these, and it should come apart OK, and show you the 'stat - if it's there. If not, see previous postings for where to find a 'stat in the US/Canada.

I guess you won't want to get it sent snail mail from the UK!!!!

The thermostat is located inside the top radiator hose on all TO 20/30 tractors. 180 deg.F stats are available from Carquest auto stores.

It is good to hear of a source for 180 degree thermostats. The only ones that I have ever found were 160 degree, which I figured were not warm enough.
