We have (we think) is 1950?-57 ferguson tractror. The plate on the dash is very hard to read. We'd like to know what tractor we have so we can order/find the right manual. We know its about aprox 30 horse power..Give or take a few. We just put on clutch fan which seem to give it more airflow through the rad (which seem to help.We know the tractor is made in England. and I got as much as the numbers of it as I could. Here is what the plate looks like/reads -- Made in England by The Standard Motor co.Ltd Convertry England Under these u.k patents 470060 612674 470087 619874 471515 666872 510352 541220 576907 BREVETE S.G.D.G Other Patents Pending Sign Harry Ferguson. Ltd TEA 3?0417 ----- - I can't tell what is after the 3. Its had something droped on it (got Nick in it) The 'A' after the TE maybe questionable too.. Somebody may have just punched in the ' A' so it reads clearer? We know its is Wakashall Engine (not sure how spell that) On the Timming belt cover it reads (looks like) : Warshall / could also be Marshall The Oilfilter plate has " TECALMIT " on it on the engine block it has (right side) : OA12361 500508 Behind our altantor (which was Generator): 3112-2 The engine block also has a ' 6 ' in it, Near the back of engine (close to clutch) But yes so far we are almost sure its a Waukeshau engine. Yes it does have the zenith carb in right place. We know its not stander engine in it.. As far I know its not a Stander engine, Its not and this tractor was built in England (meaning it British) The old generator and battery was backwards. It was Pos as ground. We switched it over to alternator Pos is and Neg is ground now (using older motercraft Alt) All the # I have are posted above. I looked on the engen block and there is no S stamped anywhere that I can find. There looks like a ' ( 6 ) 'stamped on it ( Just as it looks) but its not S 100% sure on that.. All the #'s I have are on my post above, the only thing is the Serial # of engine I have in my first post, 0A12361 - 500508 The 0 Could be a D but it hard to see.. Maybe DA12361-500508 (behind the Zenith carb) That prety much it.. I'v not found any other #'s yet. My dad who used to worked for Ryder forklift says, he knows Zenith carbs were used in Ryderforklift. and they were also English made..( British) And were later brought over to us (Canada/Usa) We are prety sure its a Waukeshaw engine. and the sieral # TEA 3?0417 We're assuming for now its either a TEA ??? or TE 20 or TE 30 (Something) 1953-54 I do have pictures. Not great ones but I'll see about getting more when it warms up more. We also know the front axle is not orginal. We have feeling tractor (owner before) may have broke the orginal front bars. But as far we know Everything else is orginal on it. About 30 hp, 4 gears and on the gear box is is also a S (which be 5th gear if was a gear there) Stander PTO drive on it., With engaged/disaged. Its a very basic tractor.. I wish it had High/Low gear on it. Wish we could put one on it A friend from another website posted my picture for me (Many thanks Jim I hope you don't mind) at www.picturetrail.com/jim_w Select "Chester's tractor" to view my pictures. The one picture (last I think) is mirrored. Jim (is from the other ferguson msg board) But he's prob here too :P (http://pub73.ezboard.com/foldfergusontractorsfrm1.showMessage?topicID=238.topic) I'm just trying find out what tractor we have. Can anybody help me please Email me/or post here please email : [email protected] Thanks in advance -Chester-
