To Slime or not to Slime.

As I have just compleated a 3 month ordeal with flat tires. What is the general consensus for using pre-flat fixers like Berryman's or that green neon Slime stuff?

Does it work, are there corrosion concerns. It is in a tube. I would like to know.

I would love to use it in the rears but I have Calcium Chloride in there. I do use it in the fronts and it works great.

I have used it for several years without any side effects.

On the Slime. Do you use the tubless or tube tire mixture.

The tubeless looks as if it has rubber particles to help seal as the only noticeable difference. THe main reason is availability. Tubless is everywhere and available in larger sizes. The tubes comes in sizes for wheelbarrow tires.

Does it make a difference?

I didn't even know it comes in two types. I think I use the tubless type. I have heard that once-in-a-while when it's used on high speed vehicles it may cause balance problems. But I'm certainly not concerned about that on my TO-30. I never go over 80 MPH.

Actually I went to slime.com and they have all the info. ie. did you know that the company founders cooked this stuff up in their kitchen in the 1980's for bicycle tires. It is green because the delevery base is anti-freeze.

Good site for info. The basic differenct in tubed and tubeless is the binders and polymer fillers. Tubless has small ruber chunks to help fill the holes. The tube is straight polymer fibers and binders.

The in-tire life is 2 years. because the anti-freeze delevery base evaporates and the binders and fibers no longer flow through the tube.

They say to add more every two years. I wonder if you can just add more liquid anti-freeze.
