Well, I took everyone's advice and baoght a new rim for my TE-20. What an adventure.

1st. I only had a 1" and 1 1/8th" socket... Yep the wheels take a 1 1/16th".... Local store (5 miles) didn't carry them so I went to NAPA 25 miles away and $16.00 later had one socket.

The rim nuts and washers came off easily but not the bolts. I took the whole wheel to the tire store. They had me out in 30 minutes with a new RIM, tube and bolts for under $140.00 I was happy as I was able to complete my chores I had been unable to complete for the last 3 months mucking around with this thing.

Thanks to all for their help.

I have always found it more expedient, with very little difference in price, if any, to let the tire stores deal with that stuff. Regarding wrenches, on the Fergusons, if you have 11/16 wrenches and 1 1/16 wrenches, you are pretty well set. Other than the small work, like for carbs, etc., almost everything is one of those two sizes.
