I own a TO-30 with a front end loader and backhoe that is (was) in excellent shape. The tractor got away from me last week and coasted backwards into a tree. The most obvious damage is that the flange of the casting that connects the transmision to the rear end is cracked all of the way around. The casting that is cracked is not the one with the gear selector but the one directly behind it. What are my options?

1. Is this portion of the tractor interchangeable with an 8N? The castings look similar.

2. Local dealer has a MF35 with high low selector. Can I use the casting from this tractor?

3. The motor in my TO30 is recently rebuilt and runs great. Can I easily move it to the MF35 along with my loader and backhoe?

Thanks is advance for your help.

Craig

Craig,

Sorry about your misfortune. I bought a TO 30 a while back to restore but when I got to figuring out what it would cost, I gave up that idea. I have the whole tractor back of the clutch still here. E-mail me at [email protected] and we can work something out.
