I have a chance to get a TO-35 for $1,000. I haven't seen it yet. I'm more familiar with Fords. What kind of equipment comes on a TO-35? Does it have position control or just draft control like the TO-20? Live hydraulics? Live pto? What's the hp rating? Any websites you recommend to research this thing before I spend $?
Thanks in advance.

By the way I too paid the same amount for my TO35 this past spring. It came with an MF model 32 loader. The person that sold it is my neighbour and he knew the worth of this tractor but was glad it would be looked after carefully.
Guess we're both lucky especially if yours is hopefully in running shape.

As another post said, the Deluxe has the two stage clutch but whether it is the Deluxe or not you are ok. The TO-35 should be comparable to at least the Ford 600 in dollars, so maybe that helps you. Yes, it has position control. Do a search on Ferguson Tractor and you will find some websites. Parts are no problem. In good shape, unrestored but good working condition, in most parts of the country these tractors will bring at least $3,000.

Jim; You won't lose on a TO-35 nice old tractor and stronger than a 8N also. That is a GOOD price for one cheapest I've seen for a running one. Mark H.

Jim, First try to find out if the TO35 is a deluxe or standard as the deluxe has a second clutch running the hydraulic pump therefore allowing you to press halfway on clutch to stop moving and still have PTO ect running.
If the tractor is in good shape, don't even hesitate to buy it, $1000.00 is dirt cheap for such a model. Again engine have to be checked if it has cracks or smokes or ect.
The tractor is rated approx. 34 hp depending of course on shape of engine.

Good Luck
