Does anyone know if it's possible to covert my Massey 50 to posi traction? I'm finding that one wheel is constantly spinning when I take her in the bush.

THANKS!

You can add the differential lock to your MF50 by changing the ring gear carrier & the right axle housing but it is going to be very expensive to do that

Thanks Big Dean, I thought it had to be possible. But seeing that it would be costly I'll have to do wiothout for now.

Hey Marlow,
No, it's not always the same wheel that spins. But thanks for the tip. I was just hoping there was a kit to convert to posi-traction. I'll be doing a fair bit of snow blowing this winter and I have a feeling I'll be spinning on some of my driveway’s hills.

Got chains for your tires? I find they make all the difference when snowblowing - maybe they'd help a bit in the bush too.

Judicious use of the one wheel brakes will solve your spinning issue. That's why the tractor was designed with them. I don't think it possible to add a limited spin type apparatus to your tractor. Some later model MF tractors have a locking differental option.
